Verifone CEO Bergeron Meets with Israeli Prime Minister Olmert Prior to Closing of Lipman Acquisition

ROSH HAAYIN, Israel - October 17, 2006 - Verifone Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: PAY) Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Douglas G. Bergeron, met today with Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert to formally introduce Verifone and to discuss the planned November 1 closing of Verifone’s acquisition of Lipman Electronic Engineering Ltd. (NASDAQ: LPMA; TASE: LPMA).
