Company Marks Anniversary One Year After IPO

NYC - May 5, 2006 - Verifone Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: PAY) Chairman and CEO Douglas G. Bergeron and other company executives rang The Opening BellSM Friday morning at the New York Stock Exchange to commemorate the recent anniversary of the company’s initial public offering.
Verifone’s shares were first listed on April 29, 2005 and the company was designated one of the best-performing IPOs of 2005 by Forbes magazine.
Mr. Bergeron has served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Verifone since July 2001 when he led the leveraged buyout of the company from Hewlett-Packard Company.
