Verifone Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: PAY), today announced that its Vx 670 wireless payment solution has been deployed by President Collect Service Corporation, a Taiwan courier company, to process home delivery purchases for hundreds of merchants.
Consumers who rely on home delivery for convenience are using President Collect Service Corporation's services for online shopping and television shopping from home without having to submit card information until the goods are delivered. President Collect Service Corporation's payment-upon-delivery service ensures a safe and convenient shopping environment.
In December, President Collect Service Corporation deployed the Verifone handheld Vx 670 GPRS wireless payment systems for their delivery services in Taiwan. Launched in 2009, President Collect Service Corporation has enrolled hundreds of merchants for home delivery services. Service is available in Taipei and Keelung, as well as remote areas such as Kinmen and Penghu.
"Many consumers are still reluctant to provide payment card information online and over the telephone, so Verifone's wireless payment systems make it easy to accept card payments upon delivery," said Brien Jen, Manager of the Merchandise & System Team with President Collect Service Corporation.
"We commend President Collect Service Corporation in their efforts to extend electronic card payments to the home," said Zvi Mitlanski, Vice President and General Manager of Verifone ASPAC. "Verifone's Vx 670 is the industry's smallest all-in-one wireless handheld payment system and an ideal solution for home delivery services."
The Vx 670 is a sleek and secure handheld payment device designed specifically for wireless, customer-facing payment. Verifone's MAXui design provides the largest user interface in the smallest form factor with a large, white backlit display and large blue backlit keys. In addition, it is rugged, drop-resistant, and spill-resistant to hold up to the most demanding conditions.
